Journey to You
When I was looking for my dog, the part that got me frustrated with other breeders was not knowing what my puppy was doing, what he looked like at each stage of growth and what his environment was like. For me there was an electric feeling, a palpable moment of anticipation, when I would wake up and hope to see new pictures of the babies… and then…nothing. Shattered hopes, dashed dreams, day thrust into sadness. (Just teasing!) While having pristine pictures every day and a play by play of daily life is not possible or realistic, we want our families to be taken on a journey throughout the pup's first weeks of life.

Below is what the journey will typically look like for you:
Step 1:
Have you decided on a Bernedoodle and have you been informed about our program? Are you interested in getting one of our puppies? If yes, please fill out the Puppy Application by clicking here. If you call and I don't answer, please leave a voicemail or text me so I can get back to you right away.
Step 2:
Once I review your application (typically within 24hrs or you can send me a text to let me know immediately that you have submitted it), we can schedule a 30-45 minute FaceTime/Zoom video session. This is your opportunity to ask me any questions, see the parents or the puppies, view my property, etc. I want you and your family to be 100% confident in your decision with me as your breeder, this is a big step for you!! I will also discuss any points on your application that may have come up in review so we can discuss best practices and strategies. *If you are looking for a breeding-quality dog, please be transparent with me during this time and I would be happy to discuss options with you.
Step 3:
At the end of our call, I will ask if you feel ready to place a reservation fee. If yes, you can Venmo/PayPal or Zelle me the initial payment and you have 24 hours to send back the Puppy Contract. If not, I will reserve your place in order for 24-hours and then you may lose your place in the puppy pick order. (*to be fair to everyone, please let me know if there are any extenuating circumstances preventing you from placing the initial payment)
All payment due dates are listed in the contract as well, but for reference please see below:
-
$500 fully refundable reservation fee is collected at the time of agreement. Reservation fees will go towards the purchase of the puppy
-
After the puppies are born, I will work down the master list confirming if you would like a puppy from the litter or pass to the next litter. The reservation fee is refundable or transferable to another litter up until the puppies are 2 weeks old
-
The Dog Ownership Agreement must be signed before the puppy is 7 weeks old
-
When the puppies are 7 weeks old and temperament testing/vet checks/puppy picks have concluded, we will arrange a payment method and the puppy must be paid in full
Step 4:
When the reservation fee has been collected, I will give you and your family access to our private Facebook community. This is a place where I will share more unedited pictures/videos, temperament testing and it's also a place where you can share your puppy/dog and connect with his or her littermates.
Step 5:
Sit back and get excited about your Heart-Dog! Enjoy watching the puppies play, learn, explore and think. In the Facebook community, we will have a post that will show the reservation order and the top 3 puppies that each person is “watching”. We do not allow puppies to be chosen prior to 7 weeks old because at 7 weeks we will do vet visits and temperament testing. Picking prior to vet checks and then finding out that your puppy has a health issue is not fun or fair to anyone. Temperament testing will ensure each of our puppies get a voice so you will get a little scorecard of each puppy to know what their personality could be like and if that would be a good match for your home. We do not choose a puppy for you, but may make a suggestion based upon your lifestyle/desires from what you have shared with us. The breeder has a right to the top pick choice of each litter and will endeavor to let all puppy families know ASAP if we will be choosing a puppy to keep back for our program. The breeder may choose to keep a puppy back up to when the puppies are 7 weeks old (when vet checks and temperament testing have been completed) but not after that. *If you live within one hour of Fort Lauderdale, FL and have a fully fenced yard, please inquire about our Guardian Home program
Step 6:
After puppy selection, final payments and travel arrangements need to be made as soon as possible. We can arrange a flight nanny for you, you can arrange one for yourself if you are comfortable with that or meet you at
Fort Lauderdale airport.
Step 7:
Prepare for your puppy to come
home!!!
